mlm business planSeriously – do you have an MLM business plan, or do you just rove about? It has been said – and proven – that, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

That saying holds true for any business model, not just network marketing.

Starting a new venture without a plan is – sadly – a common phenomenon.

It is part of human nature to throw caution to the wind when you become excited about something.

(just think of all the times you bought something that needed to be assembled, and then you went ahead to try and do it without reading the instructions…:)

Unfortunately, in the case of network marketing , having an MLM business plan can make the difference between making a success of your new venture, or becoming a sad statistic along with all the other people who never make money from network marketing.

Think logically for a second why having an MLM business plan should be your priority:

Yes, because what you are trying to accomplish, is a lot bigger than it may seem. You are taking on a venture that can – and hopefully will – change your life in a big way.

Any big task, or any task which carries dire consequences in the event of failure, demands careful planning.

If you do not have proper MLM business plan, and keep track of your plan, you run the risk of just slaving away without working systematically.

It is very easy to end up doing a lot of things, and yet accomplish nothing in the process. (usually seen among network marketers) On the other hand, proper planning will allow you to keep track of what you have done, and to measure the results of your efforts.

As such, you will be able to identify the problem areas and the profitable areas, and you will know where to focus your efforts in the future.

What many people fail to understand, however, is that, in addition to having MLM business plan to keep track and to measure progress, it also helps you to stay motivated.

If you have a chart where you have all your tasks mapped out, and you make regular entries as you go along, you will be able to see how much you have achieved.

Even if you do not start getting down lines  immediately, you will still be able to see how many people you were able to reach, and measure the efficiency of your marketing efforts.

At the end of the day, persistent efforts will pay off – but only if you are able to work in a logical, systematical way.

That does not mean that you need to measure everything – it could be as simple as noting how much time you spend on every day prospecting, and how many people responded to your offer every day.

It just needs to be something with which you can keep yourself on track, and note any positive results.

So – if you do not have an MLM business plan yet, go get some paper and a pen…
