CBEX. The promise of 100% ROI sounded like a dream—until it became a nightmare. Here’s what happened and why you need to stop chasing shortcuts and learn how real wealth is built.
What is CBEX?
CBEX, also known as CBEX Forex Trading or CBEX Business, is the latest in a long line of Ponzi schemes that has just crashed, leaving thousands of Nigerians devastated. Pitched as a “high-yield investment opportunity,” CBEX claimed to be a trading company that helps you make money simply by tapping a trade button once a day on their app. In return, they promised over 100% return on investment—with little to no effort required on your part.
Sounds too good to be true? That’s because it was.
CBEX was never a legitimate business; it was a scam. There was no real product, no sustainable service, and no clear business model—just hype, sweet promises, and a ticking time bomb. Like every Ponzi scheme before it, CBEX was designed to collapse. And when it did, it took billions of naira with it—along with the hopes and savings of everyday Nigerians
Early Joiners Profited – But That’s How Every Ponzi Scheme Works
When CBEX launched, a few people who got in early actually made some money. They became the “success stories” you saw all over Facebook, WhatsApp, and Telegram, flaunting screenshots and urging everyone else to “join the moving train.”
That train has now derailed.
And here’s the bitter truth: just because a few people made money doesn’t make CBEX a legitimate business.
That’s how Ponzi schemes are designed. They use early participants to bait the next wave of victims. And once the money flow slows down, the system collapses—leaving behind heartbreak, anger, and poverty.
CBEX: A Classic Ponzi Play That Ended in Tears
When the CBEX app and website wittdrawal tab became inaccessible, chaos erupted. Angry investors began looting CBEX offices in frustration. One of the victims, a Libyan returnee, reportedly lost all her life savings.
“I thought it was a glitch at first,” said Kunle Adewola, a tech expert. “But when I tried to withdraw and got an error message, I knew something was wrong. My entire savings is gone….”
Unfortunately, Kunle’s story is just one of millions of others.
Estimates suggest that Nigerians lost over N1.3 trillion in this latest collapse.
Let that sink in—₦1.3 trillion.
Why Do We Keep Falling for This?
Because greed without guidance will always end in tears.
Many of us want the rewards, but we’re not willing to put in the work. We’re looking for fast money without value creation. And every time we chase those quick riches, it’s the poor and middle class that pay the highest price.
But what if there was a better way?
Real Wealth Takes Time – And That’s Why I Recommend Network Marketing
Yes, I said it.
Network marketing isn’t a shortcut—it’s a system. It’s not hype—it’s hard work, personal development, leadership, and value exchange. And it’s not about recruiting—it’s about building a real business that lasts.
I’m not speaking from theory. I’m speaking from experience.
I went from borrowing money just to eat, to building a multi-million dollar network marketing empire across four continents. Not because I joined a scam, but because I learned the principles of wealth creation.
CBEX and other Ponzi schemes like it are designed to collapse. But legit network marketing, done the right way, gives you a path to lasting financial freedom.
